Bottles

I promised something different, so here it is. This is a very old shot that I took way back in the day when I was just beginning to learn about how to really use a camera. There's a lot of flaws with it, and a whole bunch of things I would do differently if I could go back and do it again. But, that being said, it's still always been a favorite. I love bottles... I love the way they catch the light. And I really enjoy the way that came through in this image.

(Random bit of useless information: The green bottles were from Ale 8, a ginger soda made in Kentucky. My husband went on a climbing trip there a few years back, and became completely addicted to it, and even brought a bunch back home with him. It really is very good stuff, and it's a shame you can't get it everywhere! If you're ever in Kentucky you should give it a try!)

All in all a very joyful shot! The lighting and colours seem to give off a happiness of their own. Bravo! ;-))

BTW....is this Ale8 something like ginger ale or more like a ginger beer?

@Eric Cousineau: Thanks Eric! Happiness does seem to be a good word to describe how it feels to me. I like that! Ale 8 is unlike anything I've ever tasted before, so I'm afraid any description I tried to give would fall short. It has a very strong flavor, but in a good way. I guess you'll have to try it sometime... :)

I think it's great -- If you got what you wanted from this shot, then it was a success...Even shots that we are not happy with teach us something, and are sometimes more useful than our "good" ones!

As you stated, something refreshing and different. I love the alternate green and clear colored bottles and how they catch the light. Not only a favorite of yours but many others, as this image is in the AM3 Spotlight, Congratulations!!

BTW have you ever tried Vernor's Ginger Ale? It was an all time family favorite growing up in Michigan. Now I find it in our Florida stores, it may be in yours.
Haven't tried the one in these bottles.
