Evening Light (do-over)

I don't normally do this... but there's a first for everything, right?

Everyone (including my husband!!) seemed to like yesterday's photo just the way it was. But I really wasn't happy with it, so I gave it another go. I thought I'd share it with you and let you decide. Either way I really do enjoy the fact that we all see things differently, and appreciate different things.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I have a limited amount of time on Am3, so I don't generally respond to comments (unless they're questions). I do, however, read them all, and appreciate every one. Thanks again for taking the time to check out my work!

Yes, Jen, I think I agree with you even if the changes are subtle. More constrats on this one and it really gives a fine clarity. That's great. And better.

Yes this pictures is sharper on the rocks and waters, but I like the first one too, because of the softnesss of the rocks and waters. So two great attemps of HDR.

They are both winners Jen. This is what makes this art so wonderful. Put five photographers in the same setting and you will get six different interpretations of what they saw...... ;-))))

After seeing them both, I like this one better. The rocks and water are more detailed and darker. Either way, they both are fabulous.

I like them both too, but I do agree that the waterfall & rocks are the dominant features, and are more the center of attention in this one. nice job! It is amazing what a few small changes can do for a image!

Well, seems my thoughts are echoed above.....as much as I liked yesterday's, I also like this one better!! Now I think that the reason all of us liked yesterday's, until we saw today's is, none of us had the benefit of having seen this "scene" in person....so you had a picture in your head of what you were looking for in your shot, that no one else had!!! So I guess we should trust the photographer when she says "something about this i'm not happy about"......It's been an interesting test you did, with interesting results....Glad I could participate!!!

Jen, I like both also. Todays, pick has a little more depth and clarity to me - while the HDR may have brighter color tones - Keep working with both -especially with the sky and clouds! - It is great to see both to compare the differences. I liked your poppy naming for yesterday's photo - I will now send any good photo I get to you first for a name, and then I can move forward! Take Care and have a great weekend!
